Teeth Whitening

Over time, teeth can become stained and yellowed, taking away from the appearance of your smile and causing low-self esteem.

Different teeth whitening options can lift stains from deep within each tooth, resulting in whiter teeth and a brighter smile.

Dr. Mohammed Khan in Orlando, FL, offers different options for teeth whitening that can fit comfortably into your lifestyle and budget.

Benefits of Professional Teeth Whitening

At Hunter’s Creek Dental Center, professional teeth whitening delivers a natural-looking and brilliant smile. There are several advantages this treatment offers. Some of the most notable include:

Safety and Effectiveness

Over-the-counter whitening products may harm the protective outer layer of the teeth and can be too abrasive. However, dentist-supervised teeth whitening uses a concentrated hydrogen peroxide gel to lighten the teeth. As a result, it is one of the safest procedures available. It is also less invasive and more affordable than alternative treatments

Fast Results

Whether you choose an in-office treatment or a take-home kit, professional teeth whitening offers quick results. Those who choose an at-home kit can achieve their desired smile gradually over the course of a few weeks. Patients who undergo an in-office treatment can lighten their smile by several shades in a single appointment.

Boosted Self-Confidence

Professional teeth whitening can enhance your overall appearance. A brighter, more attractive smile can have a positive impact on various aspects of your life, including your career and social life. Being able to show off an enhanced, dazzling smile is life-changing for many of our Orlando, FL patients.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening with our dentist allows patients to experience a smile that is up to eight shades whiter in a single 90-minute appointment. If you schedule a teeth whitening procedure at Hunter's Creek Dental Center, you can expect these steps:

In order to protect the gums from the whitening gel we place a barrier in the mouth.

Dr. Khan will then apply the gel to the teeth.

The hydrogen peroxide located in the gel is activated with a special light, and lifts stains from each tooth.

Receiving an in-office whitening treatment under supervision is beneficial because it allows our dentist to adjust the potency of the whitening gel, minimizing tooth sensitivity and gum irritation.

What Causes Dental Teeth Stains?

Dental stains can be common among adults and teens. Even with great dental care, stains can be impossible to remove without professional help.

Intrinsic Stains

Oral trauma, certain medications and overexposure to fluoride can cause intrinsic stains.

Since they originate inside a tooth, these stains won’t respond to whitening methods.  We can still improve the appearance of these stained teeth using porcelain veneers, dental bonding, or crowns.

Extrinsic Stains

Extrinsic stains are the yellow discoloration or spots of brown that appear on the enamel surface of your teeth. These external stains are often caused by chewing tobacco, tea, cigarettes, red wine, coffee and other dark-colored beverages and foods.

If you have these stains, you may be a good candidate for teeth whitening.

Laser Whitening Dentistry

We always stay at the forefront of technology, using the latest advances in laser teeth whitening to provide optimal results. After applying a light-activated whitening gel to your teeth, we will use state-of-the-art lasers to erase stains quickly and effectively. During your session, you can watch TV or listen to music while the gel works its magic. In under an hour, you will walk out of our office with the brilliant smile you have always wanted.

The knowledgeable and friendly team at our dental clinic loves giving people a reason to smile. If you would like to find out more information on laser teeth whitening, just give us a call at 407-240-1500 to schedule a free consultation.
